GROUP 3 MUNITIONS RESPONSE AREAS

Del Rey Oaks/Monterey MRA

 

Located in the southwestern portion of the former Fort Ord, Del Rey Oaks/Monterey is situated along South Boundary Road.  It comprises 29 acres of undeveloped land and 5.245 acres of a protion of South Boundary Road.  For details on the past military uses and the ESCA RP cleanup, see the Group 3 MRA Module.

Laguna Seca Parking MRA

Located in the southeastern portion of the former Fort Ord, Laguna Seca Parking sits adjacent to the Laguna Seca Speedway and is bounded by Barloy Canyon Road and the historic impact area to the west, South Boundary Road to the south, and additional former Fort Ord property to the to the east and north. Military Operations in Urban Terrain Site (MOUT) MRA

Located in the central portion of the former Fort Ord and slated for transfer to MPC, the MOUT Site sits in the northeastern section of the Army Historic Ranges.  It comprises a total of 61 acres.  For details on the past military uses and the ESCA RP cleanup, see the Group 3 MRA Module. 

 

 

A Proposed Plan for these three munitions response areas was issued in 2013 and the Record of Decision was signed in 2014. The Land Use Control Implementation Plan / Operation & Maintenance Plan was approved and released in September 2018.
